Tribe breaks up no-no, takes it to the Max in DC

WASHINGTON — Max Scherzer was dominating for most of Tuesday’s game against the Indians at Nationals Park. He had a no-hitter going for 6 1/3 innings and struck out nine batters before Francisco Lindor broke it up with a single. And before Scherzer knew it, the Indians won the game, 3-1.
After Lindor singled in a scoreless game, Scherzer tried to pick him off and made an errant throw that allowed Lindor to reach third base. Jose Ramirez then doubled to center field, scoring Lindor. Ramirez stole third base and then scored on a single by Lonnie Chisenhall to make it a two-run game.
Scherzer finished with 10 strikeouts and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits over seven innings, walking one, en route to a hard-luck loss.
