Rangers’ grit on full display in Mile High City

DENVER — Another day, another comeback.
The Rangers’ midsummer slump is over and they’ve recaptured their winning swagger, winning for the 12th time in 17 games with a 7-5 come-from-behind victory over the Rockies on Tuesday afternoon.
“We went through a little stretch where everything was negative for us,” third baseman Adrian Beltre said. “But over the last two weeks we have started to play better. Hopefully we can keep it going. Now is the time for us to create some more separation.”
The Rangers appeared ready to go quietly in the final game of their eight-game road trip. They managed just three hits against Rockies starter Tyler Chatwood through six innings and trailed, 5-1, going into the seventh. But they erupted for six runs in the final three innings for their 35th comeback win this season, the most in the Major Leagues.
The Rangers rallied for three runs in the ninth inning for a 4-3 victory on Monday night.
