Rob Ninkovich Injury: Updates on Patriots DE’s Triceps and Return

New England Patriots defensive end Rob Ninkovich suffered a triceps injury during practice Tuesday, per ESPN.com’s Mike Reiss.

Ninkovich to Potentially Miss 1st Game Since 2009 Tuesday, Aug. 9
As MassLive’s Kevin Duffy noted, Ninkovich has appeared in the Patriots’ last 116 games. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Ninkovich won’t have to undergo surgery to repair the injured triceps, and he could return by October, so his consecutive games streak is in serious jeopardy.
