Germany and Netherlands looking for first win in night session opener of day four

Rio de Janeiro, August 9, 2016 – Germany’s Karla Borger/Britta Buthe and Jantine van der Vlist/Sophie van Gestel of the Netherlands open the night session of day four with a must-win pool E match.  Both teams lost their pool opener and now face missing the elimination phase without a win.

Karla Borger/Britta Buthe have won both meetings between the two teams on the FIVB World Tour.  Both wins have been pool play matches won in straight sets at the Fuzhou Open in April and the Moscow Grand Slam in May.
