In one of the easiest scheduling decisions for the upcoming year, the NBA will reportedly stage an NBA Finals rematch between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day.
ESPN.com’s Marc Stein first broke the news, and CSN Bay Area’s Monte Poole confirmed the report.
Christmas Day has become one of the biggest dates on the NBA calendar. For the most part, the league reserves the most anticipated matchups of the year for the holiday.
Considering how much the NBA is a star-driven league, LeBron James and Stephen Curry were both certain to play on Christmas Day, and pitting them against one another makes sense, even if it’s happening for the second year in a row.
