Nagaoka helps Japan in first victory

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 8, 2016 – Japan evened up its record at 1-1 in Pool A of the women’s volleyball tournament at Rio 2016 Olympic Games following a 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-17) over Cameroon on Monday morning at Maracanazinho Stadium.
Miyu Nagaoka spearheaded the Japanese attack with 16 points, included 15 spikes, followed by Saori Kimura and Yuki Ishii who finished with 13 points each. Cameroon’s captain Christelle Tchoudjang had 12 points in the loss.
