MateuszPonitka Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (BSL) inked 23-year old Polish international swingman Mateusz Ponitka (196-92kg-93). The last season Ponitka played at Stelmet in TBL. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 41 TBL games he recorded 10.5ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.7apg and 1.1spg. Ponitka helped them to win the Polish League title and the Supercup. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Polish League Player of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year and Guard of the Year.
