Australia battles Venezuela in pool F

Rio de Janeiro, August 8, 2016 – Louise Bawden/Taliqua Clancy of Australia will try to win their second match in pool F against Venezuela’s Norisbeth Agudo/Olaya Pazo, who lost their opening round match.

The two teams have not met in FIVB World Tour competition.

Historically the #7 seed has won two of the three pool play matches against the #19 seed in the Olympic Games.  The higher seed won in three sets in London (2012) and straight sets in Athens (2004), while the lower seed pulled the upset in three sets in Beijing (2008).
