Team GB have four fighters in action on day three of the 2016 Rio Olympics, with Anthony Fowler and Joshua Kelly entering the fray and Lawrence Okolie and Galal Yafai facing their second bouts.
With four wins out of four at Rio 2016’s boxing tournament, Team GB’s itinerary on day three sees one of the team’s biggest names in action, while two more British fighters could reach quarter-finals.
Anthony Fowler, cousin of footballing legend Robbie Fowler, kicks off his middleweight campaign as he tries to add Olympic gold to his Commonwealth Games success in 2014.
The 25-year-old has a tough Round of 32 bout on another busy day at Riocentra Pavillion 6, as he takes on Zhanibek Alimkhanuly from Kazakhstan.
Alimkhanuly doesn’t have the same power as compatriot Gennady Golovkin but the 23-year-old won the International Boxing Association (AIBA) gold on home soil in 2013, where Fowler had to settle for bronze.
