Guerra set for DL trip; Peralta to be recalled

PHOENIX — The Brewers adjusted their bullpen corps on Sunday but have a bigger move pending. Opening Day starter Wily Peralta is set to re-join the team as a rotation replacement for an injured Junior Guerra.

Guerra, a bright spot for the Brewers this season who is 7-3 with a 2.93 ERA in 17 starts as a 31-year-old rookie, developed right elbow inflammation after his loss in San Diego on Wednesday. He will probably land on the disabled list before Peralta takes his spot beginning Tuesday against the Braves at Miller Park.

“[Guerra] didn’t really have any problems during his start or after his start,” manager Craig Counsell said. “On Thursday, he was a little sore.”
