Dodgers’ Segedin makes impact in MLB debut

LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers selected the contract of infielder/outfielder Rob Segedin from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, a move aimed at reinforcing an offense that has struggled against left-handed pitching. He made that decision look brilliant in his Major League debut, facing Red Sox southpaw David Price.
Segedin lined a two-run double to center in the fourth inning, and singled home two more in the fifth as the Dodgers built a 6-2 lead.
The four RBIs set a Dodgers record for an MLB debut.
