Ortiz visits Scully in booth before game

LOS ANGELES — Two legends in their final season became well-acquainted before Sunday’s series finale between the Red Sox and Dodgers. Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz went to the broadcast booth about an hour before first pitch to visit Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully and chat for a few minutes.
Scully honored Ortiz on Friday when he narrated a video tribute to the slugger.
