Korean Kim joins Gamova in exclusive 30-point Club

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 7, 2016 – Korean superstar Kim Yeon Koung joined Russian Ekaterina Gamova as the only female players in the history of the Olympic Games to reach the 30-point plateau three times in a single match.
The hard-hitting Korean spiker scored 30 points in her team’s 3-1 victory over Japan in opening day on Saturday.
The feat has been achieved now twelve times by eight female players and Kim is the only one ever to do it in a four-set match with two efforts of that kind.
