We’ll take Big News At 11 for Yankees, Alex

The Yankees announced on Saturday night that they will hold a news conference with designated hitter Alex Rodriguez at Yankee Stadium prior to Sunday’s 1:05 p.m. ET series finale against the Indians.
The news conference, which will begin at 11 a.m. and stream live on MLB.com, will also include general manager Brian Cashman and manager Joe Girardi. The club has not confirmed whether the news conference will address Rodriguez’s role on the team for the remainder of this season.
Rodriguez, 41, has seen his playing time diminish as he struggles at the plate. He last played in the Yankees’ 7-1 loss to the Mets on Tuesday, flying out to end the game in his lone plate appearance. Rodriguez has played in only four games over the last two weeks.
When asked on Tuesday about Rodriguez’s playing time over the season’s final two months, Girardi said it was difficult for him to envision a prominent role for the 14-time All-Star.
