D-backs embrace Pokemon fever at ballpark
- Updated: August 7, 2016
PHOENIX — Fans that arrived early to Chase Field on Saturday afternoon weren’t just standing in line for the Zack Greinke bobblehead giveaway. Nor were they just hoping to get to their seats quickly to take in batting practice.
They were there to catch Pokemon.
The Pokemon Go app has been taking the country by storm this summer. Kids and adults alike have been trying to catch Pokemon, visit Pokestops and battle at gyms. D-backs fans had the opportunity to do just that prior to Saturday’s game against the Brewers.
