Martin Guptill and Tom Latham picked up from where New Zealand left off after their victory last week and eased their way to a century opening stand on the first morning of the second Test. In a chanceless two hours at the crease, Guptill came within one run of 16th Test half-century with Latham eight adrift of his eighth.
