Classic all-Asian clash to open volleyball in Rio

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 6, 2016 – The women’s national teams of Japan and Korea have the honour of playing in the very first volleyball match at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The classic Asian derby will open the competition in women’s Pool A, also featuring the teams of Argentina, Brazil, Cameroon and Russia.
