A’s place Lowrie, Hahn on disabled list

The A’s have placed infielder Jed Lowrie and right-hander Jesse Hahn on the 15-day disabled list, the club announced Friday. Oakland recalled outfielder Brett Eibner and righty Andrew Triggs from Triple-A Nashville in their place.
Lowrie’s DL stint, which is retroactive to Thursday, is for a bunion on his left foot. On Thursday, A’s manager Bob Melvin said Lowrie continues to feel pain while running. Season-ending surgery is a possibility if the discomfort …
