Volleyball House opening lights up Copacabana

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 5, 2016 – Volleyball House has officially opened its doors, with visitors and invited guests given a taste of the excitement and anticipation that volleyball and beach volleyball promise to deliver during the Olympic Games. “After years of planning, I’m delighted to officially open our very first House at an Olympic Games,” said FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F°. “The iconic Copacabana beach provides an idyllic setting for us to welcome and entertain our guests and I am excited for them to experience the spectacle of this summer’s must see sport at the FIVB Volleyball House.”
The FIVB’s first dedicated House at an Olympic Games is a short walk from the Olympic Beach Volleyball venue, which is set to draw in some big spectator numbers during the Olympics.
