Catching Up With Josh Bailey

Josh Bailey is about to get a new linemate.
The Islanders winger and his wife are expecting the birth of their first child later this summer, a personal milestone. Now back on Long Island preparing for the baby, NewYorkIslanders.com caught up with Bailey to talk about future Bailey, offseason training and the Islanders’ new players.
NYI: So what have you been up to this summer?
JB: My wife and I were in two weddings, so all that entails being in weddings. It was a lot of fun and they were both great days. We had Travis’ wedding out in Winnipeg. It was quick, we were only home for two months and now we’re back here getting ready to have our first child. We’re just getting ready and looking forward to that.
NYI: Congratulations. Is it a boy or a girl?
JB: It’s a boy.
NYI: Parenthood is a big milestone. What’s the feeling like? Excited? Nervous?
JB: We’re pumped. It’s our first and the first grandchild on both sides, so I think both of our families are …
