Dons hit by Europa flight delay

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has played down the disruption caused by another Europa League flight delay.
The Pittodrie squad had been due to depart the city’s airport at 1.30pm on Wednesday for Slovenia ahead of the second leg of their third-round qualifier against Maribor.
They were held back, however, when the plane due to take them there was held up in Dusseldorf and take-off was put back by more than three hours before eventually leaving at around 4.40pm.
Aberdeen experienced similar problems before their trip to play Latvian side Ventspils in the last round but then won 1-0 there and McInnes maintains the hold-up won’t affect his squad.
He said: “We weren’t planning on training at the stadium tonight anyway. We wanted to be a bit more specific and train here this morning.
