Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo Rumours

Manchester United are reportedly waiting to see if Hull City maintain their interest in Phil Jones following manager Steve Bruce’s resignation, while Marcos Rojo has turned down the opportunity to move to China.

According to Duncan Castles’ report in the Daily Record, former United player Bruce was hoping to lure Jones to the KC Stadium on a season-long loan deal prior to leaving Hull and the Red Devils now need to find out if the Tigers will still pursue him.

Meanwhile, Castles reports that former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson made an offer for Rojo to join him at Shanghai SIPG, but the Argentinian is not interested in a move to the Chinese Super League.

The defender has been put up for sale by Jose Mourinho, who is hoping to strengthen his defensive options by clearing out those who do not appear to feature in his plans before bringing in more recruits.

Rojo arrived two seasons ago and played in the centre and on the left under Mourinho’s predecessor Louis van Gaal.
