Another Olympic Honor For Michael Phelps; GOAT Selected As U.S. Flag Bearer

In the past, Michael Phelps was never an option to carry the American flag during the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games due to his participation in the 400 individual medley, which was held the following morning. But with the 400 medley off of Phelps’ schedule, the 22-time Olympic medalist was given the honor of carrying the Stars & Stripes in Rio de Janeiro, his selection made by a vote of Team USA athletes across all sports.
