Davis won’t rush return from second DL stint

ST. PETERSBURG — Royals All-Star closer Wade Davis, on the disabled list because of a strained flexor muscle in his right forearm, said he may have rushed his return from his previous stint on the DL in early in July.
Davis had been placed on the disabled list retroactive to July 1 with a right forearm strain and, after rest and rehab, returned on the first day he was eligible on July 16.
“I may have rushed it,” Davis said. “I may have needed another bullpen or something like that. …
