Report: Yanks to promote Sanchez on Wednesday

Following their flurry of non-waiver Trade Deadline transactions, the Yankees suddenly have room on their roster for some of their intriguing young position player prospects. The club plans to promote one of those — catcher Gary Sanchez — in time for Wednesday’s game against the Mets at Yankee Stadium, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
The team has not commented on or confirmed the move.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told reporters earlier in the week that Sanchez, the club’s No. 5 prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, could be promoted …
