DeMar DeRozan Comments on 360 Dunk, Raptors, New Contract, More

DeMar DeRozan has brought a different kind of swagger to Team USA leading into the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, though some of the things he hasn’t done haven’t connected with head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
In the United States’ 107-57 win over China on July 26 in an exhibition game, DeRozan attempted a 360 dunk against a defender that he was unable to finish.
After the game, Krzyzewski offered this comment to reporters about his team’s performance, per Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated:

In an interview with Michael Lee of The Vertical, DeRozan jokingly acknowledged the attempted dunk was a mistake:
What the hell was I thinking? I have no clue, from start to finish, what I was trying to do. I’m used to doing the [360] layup. Before you know it, I’m just hanging on the rim.
