Duffy misses bats, sets strikeout record for Royals

Danny Duffy’s pitches did not find many bats on Monday.
Duffy set a franchise record with 16 strikeouts and took a no-hit bid into the eighth inning of the Kansas City Royals’ 3-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.
Duffy allowed a hit and a walk over eight frames, the most scoreless innings he has pitched in a game in his career. It was the longest no-hit bid of his career.
