NEW YORK — Once Monday afternoon’s non-waiver Trade Deadline chaos settled into quiet, after the Mets acquired Jay Bruce from the Reds and the Yankees dealt Carlos Beltran to Texas, a sold-out crowd piled into Citi Field for what was theoretically still the day’s main event.
