Liverpool vs. Roma: Score, Reaction from 2016 Pre-Season Friendly

Monday night from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri provided a rematch of the 1984 Champions League Final in a far more casual setting as Roma defeated Liverpool 2-1 in an international friendly.
This was the third time since 2012 that Roma and Liverpool met in the United States for a friendly. The first two meetings came at Boston’s Fenway Park in 2012 and 2014 with Roma also reigning supreme in those matches.
Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko, who formerly applied his traits in the Premier League with Manchester City, fired the Italian side in front after 29 minutes.
Coolly taking a ball down around 35 yards from goal, Dzeko weaved his way toward the top of the box and placed a low shot that rolled just past the outstretched arm of Liverpool goalkeeper Alex Manninger.
