Busy birds: Blue Jays deal for 3 new pitchers

The Toronto Blue Jays were certainly busy on MLB’s trading deadline.
The Jays made a series a moves to bolster their pitching staff by acquiring three new pitchers from three different teams.
Toronto acquired pitcher Francisco Liriano in a trade with the Pittsburgh Pirates, in adding to minor league outfielder Harold Ramirez. The Jays will send minor league pitcher Drew Hutchison to the Pirates as part of the deal.
The left-handed Liriano is 6-11 with a 5.46 ERA in 21 starts …
