Kelly McCrimmon to be Las Vegas assistant GM

The management structure of the National Hockey League’s expansion Las Vegas franchise is slowly coming into focus as the team is expected to announce Tuesday that longtime major junior hockey owner, general manager and coach Kelly McCrimmon will be named assistant GM.
The hire is the first for longtime NHL general manager George McPhee who was announced as the Las Vegas team’s first GM in mid-July. Although McCrimmon, 55, does not have NHL experience as a manager his knowledge of the junior hockey world is vast having been with the Brandon Wheat Kings of …
