Red Sox land reliever Abad in deal with Twins

The Red Sox and Twins have agreed on a deal that will send left-handed reliever Fernando Abad to Boston. The trade was announced by Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski.
The Twins will receive Minor League reliever Pat Light.
Abad, 30, is 1-4 with a 2.65 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 34 innings for Minnesota in 2016.
