There’s a moment in everyone’s life where courage externalizes and, without announcing itself, takes over. A person’s convictions are shifted, and life suddenly feels like it’s moving at a frame rate we aren’t normally accustomed to.
New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall understands this. He knows this. He’s lived this.
Marshall’s moment came amidst a tumultuous 2011. While searching for an outfit in his closet to wear on gameday, this common form of self expression turned into an agonizing battle. “I literally spent almost an hour in my closet in 2011, trying to find the right outfit to wear,” he told Champs Sports.
