Avalanche Signs Barrie

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has signed defenseman Tyson Barrie to a four-year contract through the 2019-20 season.
Barrie, 25, led all Colorado defensemen in points (49), goals (13) and assists (36) while appearing in 78 games this past season. He led the entire team with 21 power-play points (three goals, 18 assists), finished second on the club in assists and was third in average ice time (23:11). Barrie’s 13 goals tied his career high from 2013-14, while his five game-winning tallies also matched his personal best from that same year.
