Quintana, Sale deals still in play for White Sox

MINNEAPOLIS — A handful of Major League contenders are hoping to make Rick Hahn an offer he can’t refuse in regard to Chris Sale and/or Jose Quintana as Monday’s 3 p.m. CT non-waiver Trade Deadline approaches.
And it will take nothing less than that sort of offer to pry loose one or two of baseball’s best left-handed starters, not to mention two of the most controllable contracts. That sort of rebuild would not have been imaginable back when the White Sox started 23-10, but the players know if the White Sox general manager does make those big moves, the change is on the players.
