Cotham to miss rest of season with torn meniscus cartilage

SAN DIEGO — Reds reliever Caleb Cotham will miss the rest of the season because of torn meniscus cartilage in his right knee, manager Bryan Price said on Sunday. Cotham will have surgery to repair his knee on Tuesday, with team medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek performing the procedure.
Already on the disabled list since May 31 because of right shoulder inflammation, Cotham was 0-3 with a 7.40 ERA in 23 appearances this season.
