Clive Walford up, running and catching passes after offseason ATV accident

NAPA, Calif. — Clive Walford’s ATV accident that cost him the offseason training program — “I came off of it because there was a hump that I didn’t see,” he said Saturday — is simply just a bad memory now for the Oakland Raiders’ second-year tight end, especially since he has been a full-go to start training camp.
The key now, then, is to re-establish a chemistry with quarterback Derek Carr.
“It was a great thing that I had the opportunity to play with him last year,” Walford said Saturday. “During the offseason, when the coaches and some of the training staff allowed me to, I went out with him and caught some balls. So, I think the chemistry is still there, I just have to get back into football shape.”
Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave said it was “crucial” for Walford to be practicing at the start of camp.
