Jones waived by Cavs; provided lift in title run

CLEVELAND — The NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers waived Dahntay Jones, the veteran reserve swingman who gave the team a spark in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
The team announced the move Saturday.
Jones, who was signed on the final day of the regular season, came off the bench in Game 6 and scored five straight points to slow a Golden State Warriors rally. He also drew a pair of fouls on Warriors forward Draymond Green.
