Padres, Braves in talks to swap Kemp, Olivera

ATLANTA — The Braves and Padres are making progress toward completing a trade that would send Matt Kemp to Atlanta and Hector Olivera to San Diego.
Olivera was pulled from Triple-A Gwinnett’s lineup before the start of Saturday night’s game. If this trade is completed, the Padres would likely disavow themselves of at least a portion of Kemp’s burdensome contract, and the Braves would realize their attempt to end their forgettable …
