Bayern Munich produced a masterful performance to thrash Inter 4-1 in the 2016 International Champions Cup on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Bundesliga champions were devastating in their approach, netting four goals in a completely one-sided first half in the pre-season friendly tournament.

Youngster Julian Green was the main protagonist, as the American netted a 35-minute hat-trick on home soil, with Franck Ribery adding his name to the scoresheet inside the opening stages. With one minute of normal time remaining, Mauro Icardi bagged a consolation for the despondent Italians, but any thoughts of a comeback were residual.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side immediately found their groove against Inter, as they broke the deadlock after just seven minutes.

Green, 21, was on hand to divert a low strike into the bottom corner after receiving a sublime ball into the area from David Alaba. The Austria international moved ahead of Ribery down the left flank and supplied the perfect assist, enabling Green to continue his fine early-season form.

It wouldn’t take long for Ancelotti’s men to double their lead. With 13 minutes played, it was Ribery’s turn to score, as he tapped into an unguarded net from eight yards out after some wonderful wide play on the right of the box.

Seventeen-year-old midfielder Fabian Benko was at the heart of the move and provided the cut-back to the experienced Frenchman, who the Inter defenders had somehow left unmarked.

Bayern Munich’s official Twitter account praised the teenager for his involvement in the goal:
