By the numbers: Padres’ home run streak ends

For the first time in a month, the San Diego Padres played a game and did not hit a home run.

The Padres had homered in 25 consecutive games before Friday night’s 6-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. It is tied for the longest streak in NL history and two shy of the major-league record.
