Lions sign top CB Slay to four-year extension

Darius Slay said at the end of last season that he wanted to remain in Detroit for a long time. On Friday, hours before the Lions kicked off training camp, the cornerback found out he’d be in Detroit for the foreseeable future.
Slay and the Lions agreed on a four-year contract extension that runs through the 2020 season on Friday. The Lions did not disclose financial terms, but a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the deal is worth $50.2 million, with $23 million fully guaranteed.
This offseason, Slay switched agents from the late Eugene Parker to Drew Rosenhaus and made it clear he wanted to get a deal done to stay with the Lions.
