Source: Lions’ Slay agrees to $50.2M extension

Darius Slay said at the end of last season he wanted to remain in Detroit for a long time. On Friday, hours before the Lions kicked off training camp, the cornerback found out he;d be in Detroit for the foreseeable future.
Slay and the Lions agreed on a four-year contract extension worth $50.2 million, with $23 million fully guaranteed on Friday, a source told ESPN Insider Adam Schefter.
This offseason, Slay switched agents from the late Eugene Parker to Drew Rosenhaus and made it clear he wanted to get a deal done to stay with the Lions.
The deal also marks the Lions’ first major extension under new general manager Bob Quinn.
