Copa Courts to celebrate volleyball in all its forms

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, July 29, 2016 – Volleyball’s presence will be felt all across Rio during the upcoming Olympic Games, which are now just a week away. However, one of the biggest hubs will almost certainly be Copacabana, where the FIVB will have six courts offering fans and visitors a chance to Volleyball Your Way.
The #CopaCourts will welcome a whole host of activities, from clinics with some of the FIVB’s key stakeholders to simply welcoming anyone who wants to try the sport, or play it on the iconic Copacabana sand. They will be open to the public from 09:30 – 17:30 every day.
The courts will have three themes. The kids corner will focus on mini volleyball, Volleyball Your Way will be free play and include activities such as Bossaball and the court of the future will introduce fans to ground-breaking innovations in volleyball, such as the LED net.
