Manchester United Launch 2016-17 Third Kit: Images, Details and Reaction

Manchester United have released their white and black third kit for the 2016-17 season, with the design “taking inspiration from the club’s early years as Newton Heath LYR Football Club.” 

According to the official United website, the kit—which includes a predominantly white shirt with black accents—pays homage to the club’s modest beginnings as a railway workers’ team in 1878 and it’s rise to become “the biggest and best known football club in the world.”

United revealed the new kit on their Twitter feed, along with an image of Morgan Schneiderlin, new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Anthony Martial, captain Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw all donning the outfit:
