Coach Salo’s Trojan Locks Foreigners Out Until Clarity Emerges On Russian Doping

The Trojan Swim Club in California, current and former base to three of the seven Russian barred by the International Olympic Committee and FINA from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Court of Arbitration cases pending, is to lock foreign athletes out of its program until further notice.
Dave Salo, head coach of the Trojan Swim Club and USC’s men’s and women’s swimming teams, told the Los Angeles Times in an email today that the lockout will last until “I can somehow find a way to assure we don’t have these kinds of problems.”
Salo, who said he would back a blanket ban on all Russians at Rio 2016 if the truth were as bad as the allegations being made, is cited as also writing:
“Other than regular testing I don’t know what the answer is.”
Two of those barred, Nikita Lobinstev and Vladimir Morozov, both for having been named in connection with ‘disappeared’ tests, are member of the Trojan …
