Gordon apologizes before rejoining Marlins

MIAMI — Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon has issued an apology on Twitter following his return from an 80-game suspension for a positive drug test.
“I made a mistake, man. And just like in this game, you’ve got to learn, come back and be stronger and better,” Gordon said.
The 2015 NL batting and stolen base champion was reinstated before Thursday’s game against St. Louis.
