Ford Ice Center to Host Gnash Bash, Try Hockey For Free Program

Nashville, Tenn. (July 28, 2016) – Ford Ice Center will host its annual GNASH Bash throughout August, a free, four-week, hour-long instructional ice hockey program for sixth through eighth grade students. Sponsored by the Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey League, a Nashville Predators Foundation grant recipient, GNASH Bash aims to grow high school hockey in Tennessee.
This free program is designed to introduce middle schoolers, with no hockey experience, to ice hockey. Each session will consist of the fundamentals of skating, passing, shooting and fun. One hour of on-ice instruction will be followed by 30 minutes of off-ice training to work on shooting, balance and coordination.
GNASH Bash will take place on Thursday, August 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 6:15–7:15 p.m. (CT) at Ford Ice Center (5264 Hickory Hollow Pkwy, Antioch, TN 27013). Full equipment is required, however equipment and skate rentals will be made …
