Urena, Reid-Foley crack Top 100 Prospects list

TORONTO — The future is starting to look brighter for shortstop Richard Urena and left-hander Sean Reid-Foley — both Blue Jays prospects have cracked MLBPipeline.com’s midseason Top 100 Prospects list.
Urena and Reid-Foley were not ranked in the top 100 prior to Spring Training, but they have since landed a spot on the list. Urena is Toronto’s top-ranked prospect at No. 91, while Reid-Foley is close behind at 93.
Outfielder Anthony Alford made the preseason list at No. 42, but he fell out of the top 100 after an injury-plagued first half of the year. Alford is still ranked third overall on the Blue Jays’ Top 30 Prospects list.
Urena, 20, turned some heads in the spring when he held his own in big league camp. He showed impressive range and maturity in the field, and he followed that up with a strong offensive performance for Class A Advanced Dunedin. Through 92 games this season, Urena is batting .292 with 32 extra-base hits and a .773 OPS.
