It’s been nearly seven months since the Buffalo Bills last played in a game, a season-ending win Jan. 3 over the New York Jets. The offseason will end Thursday when rookies report to training camp at St. John Fisher College, followed by veterans Friday.
Even when they haven’t been on the field, the Bills have remained one of the most quotable teams in the NFL. Before Buffalo kicks things off with their first training camp practice Saturday, here’s a countdown of the Bills’ 10 most memorable and buzz-worthy quotes from their eventful offseason:
No. 10: “I guess the Buffalo wings [are what the city is known for], but in my mind, I’m like, ‘I’ve tasted a great chicken wing. How [much] better can it be here?’ You know what I’m saying? I feel like I’ve had some great chicken wings. What else can you do to a chicken wing? [That’s] all I’m saying.” — undrafted rookie linebacker Eric Striker, May 6, questioning the greatness of Buffalo’s food staple as he got his first taste of the city. Striker and other Bills rookies were later invited by Duff’s, one of the main wing joints in the area, to stop by and try their signature cuisine.
No. 9: “There’s so many things I admire about Mr. Trump, but one thing I really admire about him is, you know what?
